Do you have an old cell phone that you don't need anymore because you have purchased a new one?  Donate your old cell phones to Youth Ministry.  Youth Ministry will be collecting old cell phones all year.  So if you have one sitting in a drawer at home bring it to church and leave it at any youth ministry locations in the appropriate bin.

A planned gift
Making a planned gift is one of the most effective ways that you can help to insure the long-term growth and financial stability of St. Bridget Church. A planned gift often allows you to pass any amount or item you wish to St. Bridget Church without paying an estate tax.

Among the most important people in a child’s life should be the godparents. The work of these individuals is to help the parents to raise their children in the faith and to present to the child a model for living as a follower of Jesus. Being a godparent does not necessarily mean that if something should happen to the parents, the godparent raises the child. Only one Roman Catholic godparent is necessary.

If you are having a baby or older child under the age of seven baptized, there are a few things you need to know to prepare yourself for the baptism:
- Be sure that you are registered in the parish. If you aren’t sure just call the secretary in the office and ask her to check for you. If you are not registered, you may pick up a registration form at the back of the church or auditorium...

Save the Date: Sunday, October 17, 2010 – 2:00 p.m.
The Archdiocese of Hartford will honor married couples celebrating 25th, 50th, 60th, or other special wedding anniversaries this year in a special Mass at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford. Call the parish office for more details and to register. Mass will include the renewal of marriage vows. A simple reception will follow. There will also be an opportunity for a special photo to serve as a memento of the occasion. Further information will be forthcoming.

Just a reminder, that while we await the installation of Air Conditioning in the church building, on warm weekends Masses will continue to be moved to the school auditorium. From this point forth, we will plan on having the 4 pm Vigil every Saturday in the auditorium.
On Sunday mornings, if you see the yellow chains across the front steps or the yellow rope on the handle of the elevator entrance, then the Masses that morning will be in the auditorium. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
